Just for Fun: No Sleep 'Til Rope Drop

I miss sleep. Before Ronan came along, we would sleep in and then spend Saturday and Sunday mornings lazing around the apartment reading the paper, drinking coffee, going out for bagels, manicures, workouts.

But you'd better believe that even pre-baby, our Disney vacations had us UP and OUT the hotel room door as early as humanly possible for Rope Drop. The opening ceremony at the Magic Kingdom brings a tear to even the most cynical eye and certainly makes me excited for the day ahead.

So many people want to sleep in and relax on their Disney vacations. More power to you! Enjoy the long lines, crowds and hotter mid-day weather. We'll be there first thing, cute child on his Daddy's shoulders, singing along with the opening soundtrack, waiting for the countdown to begin.
