A Sure Thing? Debating Hotel Options

November of 2016 will mark ten years since myself and the Mister tied the knot. We've known since our last anniversary that we'd celebrate the occasion with a trip to Walt Disney World and a stay at the Polynesian. The issue? Poly's 1 bedrooms are on the club level and would cost us (wait for it) $12,000 for our stay. ACK! Compromise? A 'traditional' hotel room on the club level at less than half the cost.

So what's the issue, you ask? The issue is three people, who all have very different night-time routines, sharing a hotel room. Toddler goes to bed at 730pm, mommy (me), follows suit around 9pm and Mister (aka Daddy) stays up until 11pm/12am.

In the past, we've rented DVC points or even paid rack rate to stay in a 1-bedroom hotel suite/apartment. It's a good fit for us as we have not only proximity to the Parks, but also a full kitchen, separate space for baby and enough room to spread out and accommodate the bedtime thing. There aren't any 1-bedroom DVC suites at the Poly, and whoever made that stupid decision should be fired.

AND IT'S OUR ANNIVERSARY! (Read the following in your whiny toddler voice: I want sooooooo much to stay at the Poly.) It is hands down our favorite resort and we have so many happy memories there. A 2-bedroom bungalow secured through rented points would be $12,000. Two studios, around $4,000 and Disney can't guarantee that they would connect. The situation leaves me sitting here, debating what to do. Hashtag: First world problems.
