Spending a Break Day at Disney
When you’re lucky enough to vacation at Walt Disney World as often as we do, you’re able to take a break. And by a break, I mean exactly that…choosing a day, usually in the middle of your vacation, where you do nothing. Well, not *exactly* nothing…I get bored far too easily. Our family’s typical break days at Disney usually involve a late breakfast, shopping at Disney Springs, copious pool time. Pre-baby, we would book spa treatments, resort hop or even lounge in the lobby of the Grand Floridian to take in some amazing live music.
A break day is also a good way to recharge your batteries. We all know that feet get tired at Disney. A break day is an ideal way to take a load off. If you’re not doing a lot of walking, consider swapping out your shoes for flip flops or sandals.
Consider taking in activities outside of the parks, such as miniature golf, the Boardwalk, shopping, even a movie or bowling at Disney Springs.
If you can’t swing an entire break day, consider scheduling a half-day off where you have lunch and hang out by the resort pool. Weather too chilly for a swim? Resort hop along the Monorail line and search for hidden Mickeys.
