Disney Fangirl: I love me a band
Let's go back in time, gentle readers. All the way back to February 2013. I was attending a public relations conference at Walt Disney World and on the first night, there was a private party hosted by The Disney Parks Blog in the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular area of Hollywood Studios. I had a horrible, eye-crossing migraine and came *thisclose* to skipping it. But I'm so glad that I didn't, and here's why: BANDS.
One of the things I like most about Walt Disney World is the AMAZING caliber of the talented Cast Members who make music for guests every single day.
Pictured at the top of this post are two of my favorites - and they performed at the private party mentioned above: The Jammitors (left) and Mulch, Sweat and Shears (right). The latter are no longer performing at Disney's Hollywood Studios; this photo was taken at one of their last performances. They are terribly missed by yours truly...great guys, great talent. The Jammitors are a lot of fun because they will 'dress up' for the Food & Wine Festival and change their 'gear' to kitchen equipment. They're loud, tell corny jokes, and always draw a crowd.
Other acts I always like to watch are, in no particular order:
The Dapper Dans (Main Street U.S.A., Magic Kingdom)
British Revolution (UK Pavilion, Epcot)
Voice of Liberty (America Pavilion, Epcot)
Finding Nemo, The Musical (Animal Kingdom)
Beauty and the Beast: Live on Stage (Disney's Hollywood Studios)
Don't even get me started about how sad I am that Off Kilter is no longer at Epcot. There's enough content there for a totally separate post.
So there you have it - I love me a band. Be sure to check out these talented folks the next time you're vacationing at Walt Disney World.
