October 2017 Trip Report (Part 4: Date Night)
Ah, Thursday. The day you finally realize that you've been having a lot of fun but your trip is nearly over. So it's a bit of joy and sadness, all rolled into one.
We started Thursday morning back at Disney's Hollywood Studios for breakfast at Hollywood & Dine and what I'd hoped would be His Majesty's first ever Jedi Training Academy (spoiler alert: waited in line for 30 minutes to sign him up and the rest of the day he was so badly behaved that he didn't get a chance to participate).
We spent part of the afternoon at the pool, where Ronan took a nap on a chaise lounge. This kid has some life!
Thursday night, our dear friend Aurora came over to 'squish' His Majesty so that the grownups could have some quality 1:1 time.
True to form, we spent that time at Disney Springs, first shopping, then eating & bowling at Splitsville Luxury Lanes. If you ever have a chance to bowl at Splitsville - do it. Thursday night was a great time to be there, it was busy and 'happening' but not overly crowded. Everyone was having a fantastic time, including us, acting like goofballs and splitting our time between eating the Macho Nachos and the most ridiculous ice cream sundae thing ever. I have no photo of it, but it will take me 6 months of yoga to work off the calories.
Watch this space for part 5 of the trip report, a.k.a., we really whooped it up at the Hoop Dee Doo Review!
