October 2017 Trip Report (The Final Installment)
If you're reading this post, stop. Go back to the main page of the blog and read the first five installments. I promise you, it's worth it. The main reason is that on our last day of vacation, there aren't many photos. We were too busy trying to cram in every imaginable ride and attraction at Magic Kingdom. We were also dodging rain in the process.
We started our day before park opening and joined the mad dash back to Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. Ronan kept saying he didn't want to ride. Notice how he is clinging to his daddy for dear life? The second we got off the ride he said, "THAT WAS SO MUCH FUN!" Kids.
I promise you that Ronan is in all three photos...he's still just little enough that seated in the center of a ride vehicle...he disappears. I know in a few years he's going to be taller than me, but right now, it's cute.
It rained on Saturday, and more than just sprinkles but no real downpours. Enough that we didn't want to go on outdoor rides because the seats were wet. And then all the indoor rides were like greenhouses from the hot, rain-soaked bodies. We made the best of it, grabbed dinner at Tony's Town Square (hello goat cheese ravioli) and even stuck it out until the 9pm fireworks started, but Ronan couldn't hang. Poor kid zonked out about 5 minutes into the light show, so we made our way out of the park and back to the hotel. Let me tell you how fun it is to try and wrestle a sleeping, damp, 4-year-old out of his clothes and into his pajamas.
Thus ended our third Disney trip of 2017 and we don't have any fully-baked plans as to when we'll return next year. August 2018 is penciled in, and that's it. If you need me, I'll be over here looking for professional conferences being held in Orlando.
